What is the difference between titleist ap2 and ap2 710

The more things I try, the more I like my ap2 with px's. Did pick up another SM Vokey black nickel wedge tonight. Next purchase will be a driver. I have my eye on the zl from cobra. I'm a pretty decent ball striker and I think I have above average feel and I can't tell a bit of difference in the '08 and the version. I hit the extensively beside my '08 set and the difference is negligible.

Not that the new ap2 s are bad. But keeping true to this thread Not enough to justify the extra cost. Now if you were not already playing the old ap2s then I would say jump all over the new ones.

They improved slightly on what was already a great iron. Got my new set yesterday Good job Titleist. There is definitely a softer feel in the heads I believe. Having said that, the major reason for the change was that I hated the 5.

Although the specs will tell you they are a "lighter" shaft than the DG, when you lift the club, you felt as though you were lifting a club head filled with lead and it didn't feel natural.. Since moving to the DG it now swings with ease and the new heads are a dream to hit. I also went for the Titleist cord grip on this model which is another slight improvement over the Tour Velvet. All in all, the excercise whilst not cheap, has given me a set of clubs that I now can't wait to hit.

If you are a person who does however like your current AP2 and shaft combination, you will find as people have said before, that the AP2 irons whilst definitely better in feel, can hardly justify an upgrade for that alone. I hit both irons yesterday side by side and compared heads very closely comparing shape size etc. For those who say the upgrade is not worth it good for you. For me they are, the head is more compact along with the sole and the feel is better not by much.

The top line is much improved and doesn't look like a GI iron. If that is what you want, save them the money and have them buy new shafts and grips instead. Did anybody get the new s with the KBS Tours? I would love to hear the differences between the feel of the KBS shafts and the dynamic golds, I was never a fan of the project x. The softer feel my be a reason to switch but I think the shaft will be a bigger decision maker for me.

I also did not see any difference in the top line or head size, they looked exactly the same to me at the golf shop. TM SIM The trajectory is much better with the DG shafts. Also did you have both the AP2 and the AP2 's at the same time to compare?

If so then I am suprised that you didn't see the changes. I have hit both and the AP2's on the surface may not appear to be much different.

However, I can say that I will be looking at getting the AP2's in the upcoming season. Also, appearance wise, from the playing position AP2's look way more attractive. I too thought there wasn't enough difference between the two, until I played more than one round with them. Do yourself a favor. If you are on the fence about it, check with your pro-shop about trying them out on the course. After hitting them all I ordered AP2s, and I didn't care for the first version at all.

Besides the improvements you mentioned, going back to Dynamic gold from the PX was a huge deciding factor. September 04, at PM I didn't see any major differences between the 's and the 's or the 's and the 's there might be some minor changes but your not gonna get rid of your slice or add 10 yards if you get the 's instead of the 's or the 's instead of the 's.
