In fact I think if it wasn't for the guys that were faster than us we would have won. Tags: None. Dust Muncher. Comment Post Cancel.

Reason: I left the "d" off required, silly me. Bit of messing around. Had to grind a bit out of the bash plate to miss the engine plate bolts. Also had to bend rear brake pedel a bit for a better fit. Wiring was pretty staight forward, while I had no diagram the colours are very similiar.
Fit a clutch perch, lever and cable. The top off the stock Postie carby fitted the Lifan carby, so just changed the slide and used the stock Postie throttle cable etc. Just need an exhaust to finish. I know the pit bike exhaust I'll have to buy will need a bit of cut and shut to clear the frame down rails. My mate in the railways should do that easy. The wheel rims were gold anodized.
The gas tank and number plate panels were red. The fenders, side covers, frame, headlight cowl, and hand guards were white. The engine and wheels were silver. The analog speedometer was standard. The gas tank, side covers, rear fender, and fork boots were red. The front number plate panel was also red; but the side cover panels were white.
The front fender, frame, headlight cowl, and handguards were white. There was only one carburetor and two stainless steel head pipes into one muffler. The front and rear fenders were red. There was a new style wing logo on the gas tank. The "XR" logo was on the red seat.
The tank, seat, and fork boots were red. The fenders, frame, and handguards were white. The "R" logo and side cover panel were blue. The "Pro-Link" swingarm decal was in red outline.
The seat was red but the fork boots and side cover panels were blue. The "XR" logo was red and blue. The bike had a black, non-stainless 2-into-1 header pipe. The front fork featured a cartridge-type suspension. The rear brake was a disc. A hi-performance power-up kit was available. The gas tank and seat received new graphics. The footpegs were wider in the CR-style. The graphics were redesigned again so that the "XR" was red with a violet outline.

Generally; stock xr fork springs are way soft, even for the lightest riders, so if it feels harsh in rocks, my quess is that higher rate springs where installed. To soften this, you can first try 7wt oil at a lower level. Keep in mind that what works in slow rooted, rocky sections, will have an adverse effect on high speed whoops and g-outs.
Good Luck. Feel free to e-mail me. I have set-up more than one of those 6honeys. Sorry Shaw. I'm lbs. I'm also not good enough to hit jumps. However, with all the posts saying XR springs are to soft I had assumed that I would have felt the stops a handfull of times with the dampening as soft as it is set. I will try a lighter oil. Thanks for your input. I really wish I knew about the springs. Are there no ID markings that anyone knows about.
